Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Fatale (# 61) is a deep red with a high-gloss texture. At this link, there is an introductory overview of the Extrait de Gloss line, a new Chanel formulation that is about to be introduced. The Extrait de Gloss formula sits between a lipstick and a gloss–these are more sheer than Chanel Rouge Allure Laque and more pigmented than Chanel’s Glossimers.
Fatale is one of the deeper shades of the introductory wave of colors, and one of the two red shades. This color has a faintest touch of blue. Those who love a dramatic gloss should opt for Fatale–it is the most vampy shade of the Extrait de Gloss line. Having said that, Fatale has a lightness and sheerness that will be easier to wear than the deeper, comparatively more blue Chanel Rouge Noir in Chanel’s lipstick range. Although the color is strong, I firmly believe that this is a color that will look lovely on both blondes and brunettes, and that it is perfect for an evening out, or to wear with a neutral suit to a formal office setting for those who want to take charge. Nothing is more beautiful than confidence, and nothing is more confident than a beautiful, strong lip.
