Chanel Holiday 2010 includes Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick in Magnolia ($30 / #117) a limited edition, beautiful light-to-medium classic pink.  This is one of my favorite items from the collection, and apparently I am not alone.  It is already sold out on Chanel.com.  Hopefully other large department stores will maintain it in stock for another few weeks.

This color is one of those perfect pinks, a classic color that is wearable across a wide variety of skin tones.   Here it is, swatched next to Charming Glossimer–the two would make a nice pairing although I’m happy to wear Magnolia by itself.

Magnolia gives a pretty glowy finish, and is relatively opaque in one swipe.  It is a lovely color that brightens without being bright:

Here is Liz, wearing Magnolia with Chanel Tweed Fuchsia blush from this same collection:

This is an absolutely perfect lipstick–I highly recommend it.  One more:

  1. Ooh, I love it! It looks quite dark in the tube but perfect on the hand and lips! Beautiful. I like it even more than Rose Dentelle. It has more pink to it I guess.

  2. Liz looks stunning as always! I had to skip this one because on my warm NC35 skin it pulled way, way too cool on my lips which is strange. Magnolia to me looks slightly cool in the tube and my lips pulled out all the coolness when applied. I wish it worked for me, so I could have yet another pink lipstick to add to my stash =D.

  3. Hi Amy, how different it is from Mademoiselle?

  4. That looks so pretty in the swatch and looks lovely on Liz. I was hoping it would be more similar to the bullet in colour, as it looks a little darker. Good news for the spending ban though!

  5. I was so happy to see Chanel release a true pink Rouge Coco! I got this a couple weeks ago and love it. It looks gorgeous on Liz, as everything else does 🙂

    • Me too Lauren! I’m glad you got one– Chanel’s site says that this is Limited Edition. I wish that it was permanent. Thank you for your comment!
