Guerlain’s Spring 2011 collection is titled Sur Me Levres or “on my lips”. Many of the items will be available in black casing to bring out the very vibrant colors in this collection.
One of the stars of the collection is the Blush G (Limited Edition) – $65.00, which to be honest, looks rather epic. Packaged in a shiny lacquered black case within a suede pouch lined in fuchsia satin, the Blush G is made of coloured stripes in an energized orange, intense fuchsia, delicate pink and pearly pink embossed with a G. Guerlain has confirmed that these colors go all the way through to the bottom of the pan. Definitely on my list.
Sur Mes Levres includes four Rouge G limited edition shades ($46.00 each) in black lacquer cases, and as always infused crushed ruby powder. I swear, it makes a difference. The look I get from the other Rouge G lipsticks that I own is absolutely beautiful. The colors:
- 24 Rouge Sensuel
- 45 Orange Euphorique
- 70 Fuchsia Délice
- 71 Rose Désir

Guerlain is introducing new pressed Illuminating and Mattifying powders in Meteorite Voyage-styled compacts, in three shades for $56 each. According to Guerlain, the price includes the compact. The compacts are smaller in circumference than the typical Voyage compact–these are meant to toss into one’s bag for touch ups on the go. I’m picturing them as little macarons, but I’m not sure of their exact size. Of course, Guerlain is known for making very high-quality powders and so I suspect that these will be well worth a look:
This time, the Écrin 6 Couleurs Eye Shadow Palette is named Rue de Rivoli ($84.00), a name to which I have a deep sentimental attachment based on my visits to Paris. Unlike the other palettes with the same format, Rue de Rivoli is limited edition. According to Guerlain, “the key ingredient Moonstone offers its silvery and bluish reflections to adorn the eyes with its lamellar structure and allows for the eyeshadow to stay on longer and look fresher.” Breathtaking. I suspect that we’ll begin seeing these during early to mid-January on counters. I cannot wait.

I don’t care for Guerlain e/s much but the lipsticks all look gorgeous (and I do love their lispticks) and the blush, if it is well pigmented, will be a must for me as well!
Ah . . . Be still my beating heart! I’ve already asked the charming Guerlain SA at the local Nordstrom to call me as soon as the Blush G and Rue de Rivoli arrive. I can easily imagine how beautiful the fuchsia will be when applied as a light wash of color that acts as a bridge between the color in the crease and the color on the brow bone. Applied subtlety, it will look quintessentially springtime. For those of you who are unfamiliar with how the Écran 6 Couleurs works, that center pop of color is there to add some pizzaz and is not meant to be worn as an all-over lid color. You’re not going to see anyone sporting bright pink bunny lids with this palette–at least I hope not! As for the other five colors in the palette, if they are of the same formula and design as the previous collection, they’ll have a subtle opalescence and color undertone that enables them to reinforce each other and echo the over-all color theme. As for the Blush G, all I can say is wow! Guerlain makes silky soft blushes that blend like a dream and provide lasting color. If this is anything like the swatches on Yuki’s Lazy Channel, this will be my must have blush for spring into summer. Bottom line? I better start saving my money! Between Guerlain and Chanel, I see some serious shopping in my future
The blush looks interesting..definitely checking that out..while I love the Rouge G lipsticks,I am not fond of the case they are housed in. It looks beautiful, but feels heavy and awkward to me.
The blush is on my list too, I think this will be a beautiful blush from the description of colours you gave. I’m not sure about the eyeshadow palette, it looks amazing on the eye but how can you wear hot pink eyeshadow?
Jennise–The pink–sheerly!! A little wash–it’s going to be a pretty fushia over the cool tones.
This and the chanel collection are the 2 I am looking forward to most! I am pretty sure I will be splurging on the blush, powder, and eyeshadow palette! =D
