Le Blanc de Chanel was released this spring as an exclusive collection available exclusively in Asia.  As originally released, the group included foundations, skincare, and makeup.  Rouge Deluxe has a lovely overview of the entire line as originally released at this link.  This year, the Nordstrom Anniversary sale brings the collection to the U.S.  Nordstrom card holders can buy the collection now, and everyone else will have access on July 15th.

Here is an overview of the items available through the sale:

  • Poudre Lumière Perlée Pearl Glow Powder Highlighting powder $60
  • Rose Envolée Quadra Eye Shadow Palette $57
  • Joues Contraste Blush in Rose Tourbillon Blush $43
  • Rouge Allure Lipstick in Désinvolte and Joyeuse ($32 each)
  • Glossimer Lip Gloss in Blossom and Liason ($28.50 each)

I’ll be posting reviews of the items to help you put your shopping list together.

  1. Hi Amy, I am very interested in the blush and highlighter from this collection, it would be most helpful to me to hear your thoughts before they become available for sale on July 15th. And once again, just want to say how good it is to have you, Liz and the blog back!! You are a resource I constantly rely on and like many readers have commented, often it’s a treat to see your photos and reviews on things I’ve already purchased, just to get the “Cafemakeup touch”, you know!
    Best,
    Lakshmi

  2. I picked up the blush, highlighter and blossom gloss. Lovely, lovely items! The highlighter is a must have for sure. Perfect way to get that “glow” that is quite natural. I’m excited to read the reviews on the eyeshadow palette, wasn’t sure if I could pull off the pinks.

  3. I have not been able to stop gushing about the extraordinary beauty of Le Blanc since picking up my selections from Nordstrom on Tuesday. I cannot even begin to express how happy I am with Chanel’s decision to release this former Asian exclusive here in the States. The colors and concept are ideally suited to my fair skin tone and embrace-the-glow esthetic. I purchased the quad in Rose Envolée (I use all 4 colors at once–it’s a perfectly balanced quad), the JC in Rose Tourbillon (younger-than-springtime swirl of rose) the highlighter in Lumière Perlée (I went back and bought a back up of this gem yesterday!), the RA in Joyeuse (a pink as joyous as its name) and the Glossimer in Blossom (a fragile pink with elusive blue shimmer). This exquisitely delicate and refined collection softly illuminates the eyes, cheeks, and lips with a glow that is like light reflected off of the finest South Sea pearls. But don’t think that this is a blah pastel collection. It is anything but. The deep smoldering plum of the quad gives the eyes beautiful definition. The hint of cherry swirled into the rosy blush gives the cheeks a soft healthy glow. The two RAs are soft in tone but not in the least bit washed out. Le Blanc is a collection that speaks of poise and elegance but never shouts. It is just so incredibly lovely. Is Le Blanc universal? Absolutely not! Those of you who are looking for a stronger or deeper color statement will not be in the least bit interested. But for those who embrace the pale, it is magic.
