Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick in Enivree ($32/ #197) roughly translates to “intoxicated.”  I suppose the name is meant to evoke the headiness of the holiday season, the mystery and emotion and a little bit of recklessness.  By comparison to its more dramatic twin Famous also released with this collection, Enivree is a crowd-pleaser–suitable for day and evening wear.

The color is a pink with a slight touch peach that evokes a touch of salmon that’s very flattering with fall and winter clothing that is based on forest greens, blues, bronzes, creams and golds.

Enivree reminded me of Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy, although certainly the Rouge Allure Enivree is far more opaque and long-lasting.   I also swatched this next to some other quiet colors–Chanel Rouge Coco in Patchouli (which is far more mauve/brown) and Chanel Rouge Coco in Plumentis (which is more beige).

Here is Chanel Rouge Allure Enivree on Liz:

Bottom line: If you liked the idea of Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy but didn’t like the formula, Chanel Rouge Allure Enivree is worth a look.  It’s a nice everyday pink.

  1. I almost got it and now see that color is completely different from what I expected. Thank you for the review, Ladies:)

  2. I was waiting for your recommendations to purchase the collection, but went ahead this lipstick is gorgeous love the almost opal like glitter. The true winner of this collection is triomphal, Bought or liner but really didn’t like it, your review will make me rethink famous tho for sure. Thank you for all you do!

  3. Ah! What a beautiful shot!

  4. Great photography, Amy! 🙂

  5. How would you say this compares to last year’s holiday pink, Chanel Rouge Coco Magnolia?

    • Amy–Enivree is shimmery and perhaps ever so slightly more sheer, Magnolia is a creamy finish. Magnolia is a classic pink creme lip-timeless. Enivree is more “festive” and has a touch of gold/peach.

      • Thanks Amy, I checked Enivree yesterday and it really is shimmery/tiny pieces of silver glitter. I swatched this next to Boy and on my skintone (NW20) Enivree is a bit peachier and the small glitter seems to stand out more. I wish it looked as pink as it did on Liz but my lips are not very pigmented.

  6. Great review, beautiful photos! How would you say it compares to other colours, like RCS Fetiche, RA Desinvolte, RC Chintz, and/or RC Peregrina? I own these 4 (Obviously I’m attracted to these mid-range peachy pinks!) and wq wondering if Enviree would be just “more of the same”.

    • Yes I think so. You might try a more nude or more vibrant color. Or pure pink Otherwise you are probably already set with some gorgeous classics already. Enjoy them!

      • That’s what I suspected – I always fall into that trap of buying my “signature” comfort zone colour! I think I’ll go with Famous instead, something really different and beautiful. Thanks for your honest reply!
