Fabiola Arias is a young Cuban fashion design who features bright color, couture detailing and incredible hats. Take a look at this one:
At this weeks NYFW Fall 2012 show, NARS International Makeup Artist Uzo created rich, ombre eyes. Rather than blush, Uzo applied one of NARS Illuminator highlighters for  soft glowing cheek (although the press release didn’t say, it looks like Copacabana Illuminator to me).  You can see the strong glow in the picture, at the top.
“Fabiola wanted a look that was strong, but sophisticated at the same time,” said Uzo, NARS International Lead Makeup Artist. “We created a very rich eye with warm shades complemented by gold tones. The inner corners of the eyes are meant to look like they are illuminated, and to balance the look, the lips have color but are tinted rather than full-on.”
Below are the key products used to create the look:
·         Sheer Glow Foundation
·         lluminator
·         Key Largo Duo Eyeshadow
·         Kuala Lumpur Duo Eyeshadow
·         Kilimanjaro Duo Eyeshadow
·         Vent Glacé  Duo Eyeshadow (New for Fall 2012!)
·         Eyeliner Stylo
·         More Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil (New for Fall 2012!)

  1. Those hats are spectacular. I’m old enough to remember when wearing a hat (and gloves) was de rigueur for many events: airplane flights, upscale shopping, luncheon/tea out, all religious ceremonies, etc. Department stores actually had hat salons and there were plenty of free standing stores which sold hats from simple to sublime. We paid very special attention to selecting the right hat for an outfit back then. When the royal wedding aired on TV, I was amused and pleased to see all those silly fascinators alongside the more traditional hats. Those women got it right. A hat is supposed to be an expressive part of the outfit; not an afterthought.
