I’m getting several emails and pointers that a number of Chanel makeup collections are due out over the coming months. I tried to put worksheets together so that I could keep track of them all. I thought I’d post my worksheets for you to use to plan your shopping. I hope that you find these useful.

First, Les Expressions de Chanel is already hitting stores in Europe. I am not sure when the U.S. will receive these. This collection has two mascaras (Inimitable and a waterproof version of Sublime de Chanel). There are three color stories:  Brown Expression, Purple Expression, and Coral Expression.

There are two new Illusion D’Ombre in this collection, and one re-promote (swatched here at the Ommorphia Beauty Bar). The Brown Expression includes a new Illusion D’Ombre in Vision (a gold) and a new eyeshadow quad in Intuition. The Purple Expression repromotes the Illusion D’Ombre in Illisoire and brings us a purple version of Variation (many will recall that the former Chanel Variations had neutral brown tones).

Finally, the Coral Expressions has an new Illusion D’Ombre in Abstraction and repromotes an eyeshadow quad in Eclosion. Images:

It is not clear to me when (or if) Les Expressions de Chanel will launch in the U.S.  I suspect that we will not be getting Sublime de Chanel, as that mascara has not made it to the States yet in a non-waterproof form.

In June, the Chanel Bombay Express collection will launch. This is a capsule collection that features some of the product seen at the Chanel Couture show of the same theme. This includes a star highlighter– Les Routes des Indes de Chanel, that looks lovely in the promotional photo. This also includes a gold toned Le Vernis in Diwali, as well as a new black Illusion D’Ombre in Nirvana. Although I found an image of Nirvana on an international Chanel website, there is some doubt about whether it will be actually released here. Chanel completes this collection with a blush in Brumes D’Or.

In July, Chanel’s Blue Illusion collection will launch. This is a mini-collection of two new Illusion D’Ombre (Apparition and Destination), together with a new blue nail polish Le Vernis Sky Line.  Some are wondering if this will be a limited release to Chanel Boutiques and Chanel Studios (such as in Nordstrom’s Seattle location), but I haven’t received confirmation one way or the other on that.

Don’t forget, in July in the U.S. we are quite likely to see Nordstrom carry the Le Blanc de Chanel, formerly released in Asia. Here’s a write-up on that collection by Rouge Deluxe.  Around this same time (late July/August), we should expect to see Chanel’s enormous Fall 2012 makeup collection, Les Essentiells de Chanel.

Please recall that these are promotional images from Chanel only, and the actual colors released may vary. Here’s a complete list:

  •  Lumière d’Artifices Beiges
  •  Joues Contraste in Rose Initiale
  •  Les 4 Ombres in Premier Regard
  •  Ombre Essentielle in Complice, Éclairé, Furtif, Infini, Noir
  • Stylo Yeux Waterproof in: Silver Light and Noir Intense
  • Rouge Coco in Caractère
  • Rouge Coco Shine in: Chic and Parfait
  • Le Crayon Lèvres in Amarante
  • Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss Caprice and Troublant.
  • Lèvres Scintillantes in Sweet Beige
  • Le Vernis nail polish in Frenzy, Suspicious and Vertigo.
Some images of Chanel’s Fall 2012 collection can be viewed here on the Asian makeup blog Kuri’s Beauty Report.
I’m going to stop here, not reaching anything yet for Holiday 2012.  I will pass along that I’ve heard that the U.S. is likely to get the Chanel CC Creme during the year 2013.
