This is a first look at Chanel Mystere Eyeshadow Quad ($59/.24 oz./#43), a shimmery mysterious eyeshadow combination of deep greens, soft cream and light taupe.
This comes packed in the same elegant compact as all other Chanel eyeshadow quads. In some light, the quad can look a touch gray, but in reality there are some very subtle and complex colors in this beautiful palette.
Because of the shimmery cream (top left) and soft shimmery taupe (bottom left), you will have the basis of a beautiful daytime eye with this quad (using either of the deeper shades as a liner or softly in the crease). However, the deeper colors have enormous potential for dramatic, rich color.
You can see the beautiful rich color and the subtle shimmer of each of the shade. All shades are richly pigmented and soft. The deeper green/brown in the bottom right is a satin with subtle shimmer, not a matte.
More, same order:
So far, I’ve only done one eye and it was beautiful and foolproof with my hazel/green eyes (this arrangement, although many others are possible of course):
This could be the beginning of a very beautiful Fall 2013. I’m so excited about this collection, really Chanel did a superb job with many of the items. Chanel Mystere is a beautiful neutral with a twist–absolutely gorgeously formulated. Winner, winner.
