The third color for Chanel Fall 2013 is Chanel Elixir, a medium rose ($27). Elixir has a touch of subtle warmth and a bit of beige which gives the color a slight touch of Chanel sophistication.
Chanel Elixir has the same tried-and-true formula that’s become familiar for its creams. This feels like the same formula as Chanel Dragon and Particuliere. It’s a fast-drying, opaque in two and has enough shine to hold its own.
There is no topoat used in these images, although adding one significantly improves wear time.
Here are comparisons with Chanel April, Infidele, Suspicious and the deep pink Rose Exuberant.
Chanel Elixir will be a nice, on-trend color for everyday during Fall 2013. This color will go well with the deeper tones of Fall–grey, beige, navy, olive, and should coordinate well with the other colors in Chanel’s Fall 2013 collection.
