First, Peter Philips, creative director of Dior Beaute, did the makeup at Dries Von Noten this week in Paris, showing us new ways to elongate the eye. Rather than using an inner corner highlight, Philips flipped the script and did a deep dark inner corner shadow. Here’s an interview from Paris Vogue:

Dior f:wIn other news, by a stroke of luck I was able to find the Burberry Holiday Golds No. 25 Palette that I’ve coveted since seeing The Beauty Look Book’s review. My luck happened during a fast visit through Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC a few weeks ago. This had sold out in a hot minute during the holiday season, and I’d given up hope of finding it.

Burberry Gold Palette2 copyUnbelievably, the palette has surfaced yet again, this time on Net-a-Porter ($60). Shhhh–I’m guessing these will sell out quickly. Now you know.

I found another great follow on Instagram–Keri B. @nailartjunkie_.  Gorgeous things over there.

I hope you all stay safe on the roads today!  We’ve go a bit of snow here. Have a lovely day, gorgeous!

  1. Amy – Thanks for the Net a Porter link! I ordered that quad from Saks during the holidays but it never shipped! Merci!

  2. Thanks about the Burberry..I dashed right over and nabbed one. You made my day!

  3. Ugggg I bought the Burberry palette before Christmas at the Burberry store in Las Vegas. I used it a couple times but felt the colors were too cool for me. I gave it away. Kinda wish I hadn’t. The pictures you have make me want to try again.

  4. I like the eye look at Dries. Very strong but I think I could still wear it out.

  5. OMG! I got one! Was sad (okay my wallet wasn’t) that I missed this palette as I knew I would wear it and it would look great on me. Those are my two requirements for purchasing high end cosmetics, and I’ve been wanting to try the Burberry line for a while. Thank you so so much for the tip 🙂
