Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lip Potions ($30) were newly introduced released last month. These high-pigment liquid lipsticks are comfortable, long-lasting, and with a moisture-rich formula. These are currently available at Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, and Sephora.
I tried two shades of this line–the vibrant warm Lethal Red, and the subtler nude pink Fierce Beauty. As you can see, these liquid lipsticks are packaged in pleasant Estee-blue tubes that show the color and quantity through a rectangular front window. Here’s the applicator from the side for Lethal Red:
The angled doe-foot was easy to use. The formula delivers on its promise of a opaque pigment in a single stroke, comfortable feel, and long-wearability. Really, these are quite impressive and beautiful. Here’s the soft pink Fierce Beauty:
I found the formula impressive. They reminded me of Guerlain’s Rouge G Extrait ($53 each) in their lightweight, high-coverage feel. Here is Estee Lauder Fierce Beauty on the left, and Lethal Red on the right:
Here’s my attempt to do a quick lip-swatch Estee Lauder Fierce Beauty, which completely covers my mauve-toned lips. I absolutely love when a light pink is able to do that, especially with such an effortless single swipe:
Here is a very quick lip swatch of the vibrant Estee Lauder Lethal Red. Again, this is a simple, single careless swipe. It applies like a dream. These have a slight vanilla scent, which fades. The lightweight texture retains a satin-shine throughout several hours of wear.
Overall, these are gorgeous shades in a gorgeous formula. I’m very impressed–Estee Lauder really seems to be bringing some seriously beautiful lip products to the market. Both are highly recommended, I know that I’ll get so much use out of both. These are currently available at Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, and Sephora.
