LIke Nars blushes, Lhasa is more complex than Shale. They are in the same neighborhood, but I don't feel comfortable wearing Shale as a wash--it's more flat. The texture is different--if these were fabrics, Lhasa looks like cashmere, Shale is pretty but doesn't have the softness and complexity. I think Lhasa has more gray. Besides, duplicating a color is only a small part of the story. There is also formulation, finish, and texture to take into consideration. Color in the pan is just a starting point. Hi Amy,
