Chanel has just launched a reformulated Rouge Allure Luminous Intense lipsticks ($34 each) and two new colors of Le Crayon Levres Lip Definer lip pencils ($29 each). When I placed my order, the kind Nordstrom Seattle Chanel Studio (downtown) provided these for our assistance. The counter has these in stock now ((206) 628-2111). These are available online at Nordstrom.com.

The new Chanel Rouge Allure line has intense colors with several gorgeous reds. There are few neutrals in this particular line.

To start, here are some red Rouge Allure Intense. First is the fire red Incandescente
(#97), the orange-red Coromandel
(#98), the blue-red Pirate (#99), the raspberry red Palpitante
(# 102), and the intense blue-red Passion (#104).

One more red Rouge Allure Intense lipstick swatch–the intense pearly Inimitable (#105). In addition, there is a deep toned Rouge Profond Le Crayon Levres Lip Definer(#57). In addition, here are swatches of a pink coral Enjouée (#95) together with an intense apricot Excentrique Le Crayon Levres Lip Definer (#96).

Here are the pink Rouge Allure Intense– a soft pink Séduisante (#91), the soft cool pink Secrète (#92), the intense fuschia Exaltée (#93), the blue intense pink Extatique (#94). In addition, Chanel has released an amazing Fuchsia lip liner (#55).

There are some softer beiges and browns in the new Chanel Rouge Allure Intense line–first, the pink beige Gracile (#89), and the soft peach Pimpante (#90). In addition there is another version of Chanel’s legendary Rouge Noir (#109), a blackened red that turned classic the moment that it was released. For those looking for deeper tones, there is Déterminée (#108), a purple brown. Finally, Chanel has included the Le Crayon Levres Lip Definer in Rouge Noir (#9), which I believe has been part of the range for some time.

I hope you find this helpful. The lipsticks are available online at Nordstrom.com.

Chanel’s recent release on Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss included additional items, including Rouge Allure lipstick in Insolente (#65 / $30) a vibrant pink.

Insolent is a bold choice for Fall, I cannot help love the color but think that it is better suited for Spring and Summer.  It occured to me that this was originally released then in France during the Summer months, perhaps this is our chance to catch up to our European sisters–although a bit later in the year.

Certainly if you love brights, you can wear this year round.  It has a texture that is very consistent with the rest of the Rouge Allure line.  Personally, I find the texture soft and moisturizing.  The formula tends to minimize lines and imperfections in the lips, and give a pretty soft glowing finish without glitter or shimmer.

You can see that Insolent is a very cool pink, although not quite as bright and cool as last Spring’s Chanel Rouge Allure in Super.  I would think that Chanel Insolent lipstick would look quite stunning topped with the cool pink hyper glossy Extrait de Gloss in Insolence.

Here are some comparisons with some other Chanel Rouge Allure lipsticks:  the cooler Super, the more sheer Pink Saphir and the warmer, rosier Desirable:
